| Description: |
Provides warehouse services assigned through safe, efficient, cost effective and accurate handling of customer products and material using specially equipped trucks such as slipsheet, clamps and reach. Also, will use computer equipment as necessary. This position involves all phases of loading, unloading, staging and storage of customer's product. Within the scope of this position's responsibilities, the incumbent must apply the APL Logistics Continuous Improvement (ACI) Model for operational efficiency to improve business processes, increased proficiency and increase efficiency through waste elimination while at the same time, meeting Corporate values and objectives.

| Accountabilities: |
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: - Position requires the incumbents performance to meet and occasionally exceed standards as set by the company for safety, quality, productivity and customer services.
- Apply the APL Logistics Continuous Improvement (ACI) Model for operational efficiency to improve business process, increase proficiency and increase efficiency through waste elimination.
- Apply the 5'S Lean methodology to sustain a safe, clean and orderly facility.
- Accurately locate and load, both by hand and using appropriate motorized equipment (i.e. forklift truck), customer product onto/from pallets, trays, racks and shelves according to established procedures and safety regulations. Is able to operate special equipment as necessary, such as a turret clamp and slip sheet equipment.
- Count, weigh and record number of units of materials handled on daily production sheet.
- Complete specialized order processing for loading by stenciling, slip-sheeting, shrink wrapping, labeling and consolidating as required on order.
- Load picked orders according to policies and procedures, completing appropriate paperwork including Bill of Lading, Pick Report, Trailer Audit and Lot Verification.
- Unload, move, stack and stage customer products and materials both by hand and using forklift or other power equipment, keeping appropriate records and reports.
- Assign trailers to appropriate dock and/or yard location, chocking the wheels, following all safety rules and Company policy.
- Daily inspect and repair or make adjustments before operating tow-motor vehicles, following safety and maintenance instructions, completing the tow-motor inspection sheet at the beginning of each shift; report immediately any defective equipment to supervisor.
- Prepare trailers prior to loading product by inspecting and cleaning as needed to ensure product preservation. Assists in building and grounds maintenance to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, neat safe and orderly manner.
- Complete activity and statistical reports as assigned by supervisor.
- Assist in physical inventories ensuring facility and contents are secure.
- Provide other services such as housekeeping activities, assembling crates to contain products and/or moving loose materials to containers as directed by supervisor.
- Must comply with written policies as set forth in the company Code of Conduct, Dress Code policy, Attendance program and associate handbook.

| Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications - High School degree or equivalent required
- 1-2 years warehouse or related work experience
- 2 years Fork Truck/Tow motor operational/material handling skills required
- Light data entry skills required
Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
- Ability to write legibly.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Ability to make decisions on customer acceptance based on past experience and fitness for use.
- Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner.
