Description:
Work with Load Planners & team mates to insure on time pick up and delivery.  Support Load Planners by modifying/building loads in TMS, tendering load plans to carriers and to ship sites, confirm delivery appointments, track & trace shipments as needed.  Data entry and attention to detail.  Interface with carriers / customers to insure all carrier obligations are met.


Accountabilities:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
  • Customer satisfaction; insuring safe & timely movement of freight per requirements.
  • Employee satisfaction; interact professionally with team mates.
  • Process improvement; suggest & implement improvements with data, documentation.
  • Adhere to processes; meet customer expectations regarding pickup/delivery of product.
  • Assist with routing & mode of transportation, using TMS and operating procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedures manuals and transportation documents (BOL, POD, etc.).
  • Data entry into TMS.
  • Scheduling delivery appointments, obtaining proof of deliveries, working with customer and carriers for returns.
  • Tracking / tracing customer orders as needed.


Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Some experience with a motor carrier or truckload broker, or freight forwarder.
Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Basic MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Some college preferred.
  • Must have a customer focus and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
